 2016 Preview 


       Last year Chilton County finished seventh in Class 6A region 3 with a 0-6 region record and failed to qualify for the playoffs.

       Since 2010, Chilton County has gone a combined 29-34. Their 46.0% winning percentage ranks 40th in Class 6A over the past six seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Chilton County has managed to compile a record of 124-139. Their 47.0% winning percentage ranks 35th in Class 6A and 220th in the AHSAA.

       The Tigers are led by head coach Brian Bradford who is entering his second season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 6-14 over the past two seasons at Chilton County. The Tigers have yet to reach the playoffs under his direction. They have not won a region crown with Coach Bradford.

       Coach Bradford's overall record as a head football coach in two seasons stands at 6-14 (30.0%).

      

      The Chilton County Tigers will play in Class 6A region 3 during the 2016 season.

       This season, the Tigers will be a long shot for one of the four playoff spots in Region 3.

       The Tigers open the 2016 season on the road against non-region opponent Sylacauga on Friday, August 19 at Legion Stadium. Last year the Sylacauga Aggies finished with an overall record of 7-4 and in third place in Class 5A region 3. The Aggies lost in the first round of the Class 5A playoffs to St. Pauls by a score of 42-17.

       Chilton County and Sylacauga have met a total of 43 times on the football field. The Tigers have a 15-27-1 record against the Aggies. They last met in 2018 with Sylacauga winning by a score of 20-13.
